Making the Most of the Lebaran Holidays in 2026

Family Travel Lebaran

Lebaran holiday in Indonesia has long been synonymous with travel, as families prepare to reunite during one of the most anticipated holiday seasons of the year. With the official collective leave schedule announced by the Pemerintah Republik Indonesia, many people have begun planning how to maximize the 2026 holiday period.

Planning Lebaran Getaway 2026

Unlike spontaneous weekend getaways, lebaran travel often requires careful coordination. People would align leave days, secure transportation, and arrange accommodation, especially for family trips. Early preparation plays a significant role in ensuring a smooth enjoyable holiday.

Over the years travelers have become increasingly strategic in planning their lebaran journeys. During peak travel periods, travelers are aware of the demand especially in accommodation. This encourage many to book their stays weeks in advance, allowing them to:

  • Secure preferred room categories
  • Access promotional lebaran packages
  • Avoid last-minute availability challenges
  • Better coordinate multi-generational travel plans

Family trips, in particular, greatly benefit from early planning. Whether arranging a relaxing getaway after Lebaran or a short break following mudik visits, advance bookings provide greater flexibility in selecting destinations, room types, and facilities that suit group needs.

Planning Lebaran Holiday

As travel demand continues to increase during festive seasons, planning ahead has become more of a necessity than an option. By organizing accommodation early, travelers can fully dedicate their holiday time to reconnecting with loved ones rather than dealing with last-minute arrangements.

The hospitality industry has responded to this shift by introducing special Lebaran offers, allowing guests to enjoy exclusive rates and added benefits during the collective leave period. One example is the 15% Special Ramadan promotion offered by Marianna Resort & Convention.

An Alternative for Those Who Are Not Traveling

However, not everyone chooses to travel during the collective leave period. For those in Jakarta, many professionals with demanding work schedules or limited leave days find that staying in the city is a practical choice. For individuals whose families also reside in the same city, Lebaran becomes less about traveling and more about spending meaningful time together.

Wellness Treatments

To the individuals seeking a wellness-focused experience without leaving Jakarta, TMG Hotel Tebet offers a special stay package that blends comfort with relaxation. Located near Kota Kasablanka Mall, the hotel provides a 20% discount on selected wellness treatments. The package includes a minimum one-night stay in any room category, along with discounted access to treatments such as relaxing massages, a Japanese head spa, manicure and pedicure services, and eyelash treatments.

Halal Bi-Halal Reunion

Meanwhile, at Sari Pacific Jakarta, Autograph Collection, guests can gather to enjoy a specially curated Halal Bi-Halal set menu at Sari Delicatessen & Café. Designed for warm and meaningful post-Eid reunions, the dining experience offers a welcoming atmosphere to reconnect with family and friends. Priced at IDR 250,000++ per person, the menu features a selection of Indonesian favorites, allowing guests to celebrate the festive season while savoring authentic local flavors.

As the city enters a temporary period of calm, residents who remain can rediscover familiar surroundings from a fresh perspective. Whether through a short staycation, a celebratory meal, or simply a peaceful break from routine, celebrating Lebaran in the city offers its own meaningful way to mark the end of Ramadan.

Official 2026 Lebaran Holiday

According to the official announcement by the Pemerintah Republik Indonesia, the national public holidays for Eid al-Fitr 2026 fall on Saturday, March 21 and Sunday, March 22, 2026, with additional collective leave granted on Friday, March 20, as well as Monday, March 23 and Tuesday, March 24, 2026.

This holiday period also coincides closely with Nyepi, which falls on Thursday, March 19, 2026, along with a collective leave day for Nyepi on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. Forming an extended holiday stretch that can be maximized for travel, rest, or meaningful time with loved ones. With the right approach, the Lebaran 2026 collective leave period can become a special moment to rest, recharge, and strengthen togetherness.
