• Identify and pursue new Hotels & Resorts Operating Management opportunities, including management contracts, pre-opening projects, and strategic partnerships.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with hotel owners, investors, developers, consultants, and key stakeholders.
• Actively participate in project tendering processes, including preparation of proposals, presentations, feasibility inputs, and commercial evaluations.
• Analyse market trends, competitive landscape, and investment opportunities to support strategic expansion decisions.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, Technical Services, Sales & Marketing, and Legal teams to ensure commercially viable and operationally sound proposals.
• Represent the company in business meetings, negotiations, industry events, and networking forums.
• Prepare business development reports, pipeline updates, and performance analysis for senior management.
• Maximise business opportunities through various channels.
• Generate a strong pipeline of business expansions and to manage the entire cycle from initial lead generation to contracts.
• Develop a trusted relationship and strengthen a long-term partnership with existing and potential Partners.
• Map out long-term & short-term expansion plans.
• Conduct feasibility study, market study & competitor analysis for hotel / resort development, expansion, franchise & potential acquisition.
• Explore potential partnerships / investment with local & International Brand.
• Plan out strategies and its execution to widen awareness of MARCLAN Brand in the market.
• Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities, customer needs, and market trends.
• Responsible for proposals delivery, requirements documentations and completion of legal documents with project stakeholders and internal legal team.
• Proactively identify and pursue new project opportunities in line with company capabilities and strategic objectives.
• Lead the preparation and submission of tender documents, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and competitiveness.
• Complies with national, regional, and local laws.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Hospitality Management, Finance, or a related field; MBA is an advantage.
• 3+ years of experience in Business Development, Asset Management, or Hotel Development, preferably within hospitality management companies or hotel operators.
• Proven work experience in 4-5 star hotels
• Proven track record in securing hotel operating management contracts or participating in hotel development and tender processes.
• Strong commercial acumen with solid understanding of hotel feasibility, contracts, and investment fundamentals.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly self-motivated, strategic thinker, and results-oriented.
• Able to travel as required.
